Eating out is a nightmare, the embarassment of asking the chef for a tick list by the side of the menu, and then having the menu cut down to ususally 3 maybe 4 if i’m lucky, choices.

With me its the chemical that makes your eyes water when preparing onions. The lining of my throat is allergic to this chemical and therefore, my body thinks the onion is a foreign body, my throat closes up and i begin to struggle to breath and choke.

I’ve been told by the doctor that death would only happen if I was to eat an onion as if it were an apple, but choking in a restaurant as a mild cause, still isn’t at the top of my list of fun nights out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9440938.post-1137648397329021302006-01-19T00:26:00.000-05:002006-01-19T00:26:00.000-05:00My wife is allergic to onions. Make it clear, *no onions*. Get home, find out there are onions in it.

Obviously, I don't get to eat food with them much now anymore. I miss onions, but it's something I didn't realize I would miss until I couldn't have them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
